Who’s who in Pluck! Kit Massey - Violin For four generations a musical curse has afflicted the Massey family. Kit finally succumbed at the age of 6 when he was given his first violin, and he quickly became addicted to the smell of rosin and prawn cocktail crisps. A life in music seemed assured. At Trinity College of Music Kit discovered the dark arts of Jazz and beer, secret, furtive passions that remain with him to this day. He then embarked on a career encompassing many genre and climates. He has played Opera in Chile with the Sinfonia de Santiago, Gypsy ballads in France, Beethoven in the Goan jungle and gothic organ-jazz in Catford. TV work includes hand-doubling for Rupert Everett on the BBC, where he was asked to play “ exquisitely badly”. |

Jon Regan - Viola He studied music at Exeter University and conducting at Trinity College of Music, London. In an effort to dissuade others following in his footsteps, Exeter has closed its music department, whilst Trinity has merely moved its campus to Greenwich. Watch out at the Institute of Education, where he studied immediately before joining Pluck. His time as a member of this incomplete quartet has taught him many new skills from a mastery of the guiro to an appreciation for all things orange. Outside Pluck, Jon conducts the Dorking Philharmonia in Surrey and TV appearances include playing the Duke of Wellington's body double for a Channel 4 documentary. |

Sian Kadifachi - Cello Early appearances on stage and screen include flapping her arms a lot as Peter Pan and pretending to be Shannon Doherty from Beverly Hills 90210 on early morning kids TV. She went on to study cello and jazz singing at Guildhall school of music and drama. After finishing her studies and dying her hair pink she performed with various classical ensembles and pop bands. Highlights include playing in the proms at the Royal Albert Hall and appearing in a video with a skateboarding squirrel. Since joining Pluck Sian has enjoyed performing all over the world and jumping into very cold lakes. Following her maternity leave last year, in 2010 Sian will be job-sharing with Flora Allison. |

Flora Allison - Cello / Voice Flora has been playing the cello from the age of 7 and has ever since found opportunities to entertain- the Floral Dance and morris dancing with paper napkins featuring highly in her repertoire. Flora studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated in 2006. Since leaving Guildhall she has had a variety of experiences, notably performing at the Montreaux Jazz Festival and featuring in a comic relief sketch on the BBC. As well as playing the cello Flora has spent a lot of her life falling over, and at many times with her stylish green cello case on her back (some have affectionately named her "the turtle"). She is thrilled that performing with Pluck gives her the opportunity to embrace her love for performing music, being silly and falling over. |

Jenni Halton - Administrator Sometimes referred to as ‘the boss’, but more often ‘the Pluckmonkey’, Jenni has combined her passions for stationery and tap-dancing in the role of Administrator for Pluck. Adrian Garratt – founder of Pluck & violin until 2009 Passing initially through academia and secretaryship, Adrian and his violin eventually fell into the world of street performing. He graduated from the school of Covent Garden, London, and toured his routines around the UK. He ended up at the Edinburgh Festival, and it was here in 2000 that he conceived the idea of Pluck. Two years later, having travelled the world with his violin, he settled back in the UK and established the group. After seven incredible years, Adrian left Pluck at the end of 2009 to pursue other projects. He now performs under the name Sid Bowfin, and continues to develop new material.
