Adrian founded the group in 2002, so as you can imagine, the decision to leave after seven years didn't come lightly. Adrian will be writing a personal message soon to thank you for your support over the years. In the meantime, we've been busy recruiting for a new violinist, and are delighted to introduce Kit Massey.Kit will be a permanent Plucker from January next year, but rehearsals are already underway, and he will be making his first public appearance in this special performance. 11 | School Performance

Last year in Edinburgh 3500 people saw "The Specialists". In Adelaide earlier this year, 6000 people saw the new version of "The Specialists". This year in Edinburgh, there are ONLY 1500 TICKETS AVAILABLE. On 14 July they perform their second show"The Specialists" and two days before and two days after they perform street shows, both in Jyvaskyla itself and in the surrounding region (Kannonkoski and Karstula on Saturday 15th July, and Kivijärvi, Kyyjärvi and Pylkönmäkion on Sunday 16th July). And what a event to perform at. Pluck support none other than the Royal Opera performing Puccini's final opera Turandot, live from the Royal Opera House in London by live satellite broadcast via the BP Big Screens in Botanic Gardens. Turandot is a glorious pageant of colour and action.At its centre is the Chinese princess who imposes cryptic riddles on her potential suitors, only to slaughter them when they fail to answer! How fitting, then, that Pluck should be the pre-show entertainment, with their own cryptic riddles and suitor slaughtering. Perhaps.
